Akshara Vanam

Akshara Vanam

Aksharavanam, a multi-educational hub at Kalwakurthy, Mahaboobnagar district was established in 2015 by the VMF in a sprawling 12.5 acres of land donated by Mr Madhava Reddy Yadma, who is the Secretary of the VMF. He has dedicated his life to Vandemataram Foundation and has been working full time since 2006. Though Vandemataram Foundation has been working for the strengthening of government schools, it does not take any financial support from the government. VMF is being funded by about 100 committed members of its own family and by organisations like Value Labs, Infosys, NTT DATA, Anewa Engineering, Rama Krishna matt, Yasodha Foundation, Vikasa Academy-Gulberga etc. VMF has been associating itself with many other NGO’s like Lead India Foundation, Ekalavya Foundation, My Village Model Village Foundation, RG Rao trust, Pragathi welfare society etc. and equipping them with learning methodologies and material to reach more students in government schools all over India.

Vandemataram Educational Research and Training Centre (VERTC) is one of the most dynamic and productive wings of the VMF at Aksharavanam. It is working towards creating self-sustainable learning processes, eliminating the bottlenecks in the process of learning and making learning an enjoyable and auto-motivating exercise of the mind, body and soul. It is piloting the self-learning and teaching methodology programs at various locations to validate them. It has designed a replicable and scalable process with specific yard sticks to measure the learning progress and a supportive teaching methodology and material for school students to explore their own abilities and learn on their own at a self-dictated pace. VERTC is captained and propelled by its driving force Mr. Sreepathi Reddy Vippala, the Vice President of the VMF and the brain behind all its programs, who has been relentlessly advocating for the child centred education and concept based teaching and learning.
